Death Wish Coffee Detail Look. Dangerous Caffeine Strength!

Are you a morning person who needs a crowbar to open your eyes? Are you feeling groggy after the third or fourth cup? Good news if your coffee intake is solely for the effects. Death Wish Coffee (DWC), is the strongest coffee on the planet!

Three different Death Wish coffee blends were tested. We won’t talk much about the delicate flavors, but we will discuss the caffeine. Death Wish Coffee will stimulate your metabolism.

Death Wish Coffee

Caffeine Strength

What is Death Wish Coffee?

2012 was the year. Death Wish founder Mike Brown succeeds in creating the perfect recipe and roasting process to make the best coffee. Higher levels of caffeine are found in lighter roasts. His unique method preserves the caffeine content and allows the roast to go very dark.

DWC can also be called the strongest coffee in all of the galaxies. The company partnered with NASA Food Labs in 2018 to develop a new instant coffee. The astronauts drank the freeze-dried blend at the International Space Station.

This coffee is high in caffeine so you need to be careful about how much you drink. One cup of this coffee has twice the caffeine content as a cup from a coffee shop. Caffeinated coffee may have some health benefits. However, it is important to be cautious. A few cups of caffeinated coffee can be more than the FDA recommends.

How does one get so much caffeine? DWC is a combination of robusta and arabica beans. Arabica beans are highly prized for their delicate aromas and complex flavors. Robusta beans contain twice as much caffeine but are known for being bitter. These beans were traditionally used in instant coffees and less expensive commercial coffees. But that is slowly changing. To enhance the flavor and increase the caffeine content, more roasters are including robusta beans in their blends. This means that more care must be taken when growing, harvesting, and transporting the beans. This results in better tasting beans.

The Specialty Coffee Association recognizes DWC as a specialty coffee. DOC coffees are certified Fair Trade and USDA organic. DWC also offers comprehensive health care, vacations and holidays paid (including birthdays), as well as flexible time. Read more here – CromwellCoffeeHouse.co.uk

Caffeine Content in Death Wish

What is the strength of the strongest coffee in the world? A 6-ounce cup of DWC drip coffee contains approximately 75 mg of caffeine. A 6-ounce cup DWC contains approximately 350mg caffeine. Be aware. According to the Mayo Clinic, a healthy amount of caffeine is 400mg per day. This limit is lower for pregnant and nursing mothers, at 200mg per daily.

It is important to be aware of the side effects of caffeine due to the high caffeine content of this coffee. The FDA states that this could lead to insomnia, anxiety, jitters, rapid heartbeat, and fast heartbeat.

Tips for brewing Death Wish Coffee

The Golden Ratio

Death Wish recommends that you use the Specialty Coffee Association recommended ratio. This is about 2.5 Tablespoons of coffee per 6 ounces of water. This gives you a ratio of approximately 1 to 16 to 18 parts coffee. Adjust the ratio to suit your taste preferences. You can adjust the amount of water you use to make a stronger brew. However, if you go too far, it might result in un-drinkable swill.

Size of the Grind

You should be aware that coffee’s caffeine content can vary depending on the grind size and the brew method. A finer grind will produce more caffeine. However, a coarser grind will result in a bitter cup. Follow the recommended grind size for your brew method.

Brew Methods

French press and cold-brew are the best methods to get more caffeine into your cup. Although a coarser grind will result in a longer immersion time, it is more effective. Espresso uses a finer grind. Because the contact time is short (20-30 seconds), it extracts the most caffeine.

Temperature

DOC prefers manual methods of brewing, such as French press or pour-over. You can heat water to between 195- to 205-degrees F. This will bring you to the desired temperature.

Where can I buy Death Wish Coffee?

There are many options for buying DWC. The easiest way to purchase DWC is through the Death Wish shop on Amazon. The coffee can be purchased whole bean, ground, or instant. The coffee can also be purchased in convenient K-Cups.

DWC can also be purchased in grocery stores across the country. Because you don’t know the age of your coffee, we don’t recommend buying it at the grocery store. Death Wish also offers a way to purchase coffee directly. You can also sign up for subscriptions to receive fresh coffee delivered straight to your home regularly through the company.

Death Wish Beans We Have Tested

We received Death Wish dark roast, Death Wish middle roast, and Valhalla Java for our at-home testing. These coffees contain a mix of robusta and arabica beans. The Death Wish blends’ beans are often sourced from India or Peru. Valhalla Java beans are sourced from Honduras Guatemala Sumatra Peru, Peru, Peru, and India. These blends contain Robusta beans, which are smaller than arabica.

Here are some notes about the packaging

Death Wish, as a company, maintains the rebellious and irreverent attitude that it has had since its inception. Its packaging reflects this attitude. They also take coffee seriously. To preserve freshness, all bags were sealed well with one-way valves. Despite not having a roast date, the aroma of the bag was overwhelming upon opening it. It was vibrant and fresh tasting.

Both Death Wish varieties (dark and medium roast) were simple to open and seal. However, the bag of Valhalla Java was not as easy to open and reseal. It was very difficult to open this bag. The bag was so difficult to open, we had to tear it. We couldn’t open the bag completely even after that. We had to store the coffee in a different container. It was frustrating because the other bags were perfect.

Death Wish Dark Roast Whole Bean

This dark roast produces slightly oily beans. It was a tobacco-like roast. The automatic-drip or pour-over cups were not my favorites as they only accentuated the bitterness. A French press made a good cup. It was very resistant to milk. This was not a drinkable espresso when brewed in an espresso maker. It made a great latte. It lacks complexity in flavor. However, if you love dark roast and need a lot of caffeine, this is the right choice.

Death Wish Medium Roast Whole Bean

The medium roast was my least favorite of the three. The medium roast didn’t have the same depth of flavor as I would expect from a medium roast. It was helped by the natural sugar found in milk. The addition helped bring out the subtle caramel and nutty flavors. The French press was the best choice as it brought out more flavor.

Valhalla Java Whole Bean

This is another dark roast that’s slightly lighter than the Death Wish Dark Roast. These beans are very oily. You might have problems if you have a finicky grind. The Valhalla Java had a lot of broken and deformed beans. It made a great espresso. Although the Valhalla Java doesn’t have as much caffeine as the Death Wish blends it still had a lot of kick. The coffee had the dark, rich chocolate notes that you would expect from Indonesian coffee. You will enjoy Valhalla Java, regardless of how you brew it, if you like that, as I do.
